Job Description:
A company is looking for a Clinical Pharmacy Technician II who
evaluates and authorizes prior authorization pharmacy requests from
prescribers.
Key Responsibilities
Determines medication appropriateness and communicates decisions to
relevant parties
Communicates prior authorization criteria and formulary
alternatives to healthcare staff
Monitors staffing levels and serves as a mentor and training
resource for the team
Required Qualifications
GED or High School diploma
Active pharmacy technician licensure or registration in accordance
with state requirements
2+ years of pharmacy experience
In-depth knowledge of specialty injectable prescription drugs and
medical terminology
Proficiency in pharmacy computerized systems and MS Office Product
Suite
