Job Description:
A company is looking for a Patient Account Navigator to manage
insurance pre-certification and provide financial counseling to
patients.
Key Responsibilities
Initiates and coordinates insurance pre-certification and prior
authorization for patients
Interviews patients to gather financial information and explains
payment options
Acts as an advocate for patients in discussions with insurance
carriers and prepares necessary correspondence
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
12 months experience in pre-certifications, customer service,
medical billing, or accounts receivable required
Medical terminology or medical insurance experience preferred
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be
considered
No specific licensure or certifications required
