Job Description:
A company is looking for a General Counsel to serve as the chief
legal advisor and compliance leader for its operations.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary legal contact for all organizational legal
matters and ensure compliance with nonprofit tax law and campaign
finance regulations
Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts and legal documents to
support operations
Coordinate public reporting and tax compliance, ensuring accurate
and timely submissions to relevant agencies
Required Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited U.S. law school
Active bar membership in good standing, preferably in priority
states
Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience, including 1-2
years in campaign finance or nonprofit tax compliance
Expertise in federal and state campaign finance laws and lobbying
rules
Experience advising on legal issues affecting 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4),
and PAC organizations
