As a Field Service Engineer, you will be trusted to provide technical advice to customers including commissioning, installing, and testing of products/equipment in Southern California.Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with customers to provide technical and administrative support activities including repair, preventative maintenance, and upgrades on Alcon surgical equipment within a geographical region.
• Provide timely technical services as required including phone support and onsite corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, installation, and other service-related duties.
• Communicate equipment problems, quality issues, and customer concerns to the appropriate in-house personnel within the established guidelines.
• Manage expenses and perform duties within budgetary guidelines.
• Promote, educate, and market Alcon services to customers.
• Accurately handle company assets (Company vehicle, test equipment, computer, etc.).
• Provide timely and accurate documentation on services performed.How to Thrive at Alcon:

  • Balance experiencing new environments while working with an 80% travel schedule.Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
    • Associate degree or equivalent years of directly related experience.
    • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
    • 2 years of relevant experience.
    • Work hours: Full time
